Byndoor, Oct 19: “The government led by prime minister Narendra Modi works to form India that is dreamt by Mahatma Gandhi,” said member of Lok Sabha, B Y Raghavendra. He was speaking in Gandhiji Sankalpa Yathra held in famous pilgrim center Kollur by BJP.
“Leaders after independence only used the name of Gandhiji for their political motive but none of them tried to bring his ideals to practice. Congress had not given proper honor to Ambedkar but the government of Modi is developing places relating to the life of Ambedkar implementing the dreams of Gandhiji and Ambedkar,” he said.
Byndoor MLA Sukumar Shetty said that Gandhiji had said that the progress of the country is possible by empowerment of rural India. “Rural India is being strengthened in the leadership of Modi. Development is taking place in the leadership of member of Lok Sabha, B Y Raghavendra. He has brought additional grant of Rs 250 crores for Byndoor. He is providing necessary support for the progress in Byndoor and convenience of people,” he said.
BJP leaders were present. The second stage of 150 kilometres long resolution rally on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi began at Kollur. BJP leaders and activists in the leadership of B Y Raghavendra and MLA Sukumar Shetty took part. The rally was held in different villages in Byndoor. Saplings were planted in the premises of Brahmalingeshwara temple, Moodoor village. Hundreds of people took part and supported the rally. Slogans were shouted for environment protection, clean India, plastic free India, values and principles of Mahatma Gandhi.
Member of Lok Sabha B Y Raghavendra said that everybody should join hands for plastic free India. “An awareness should be created of the ill effects of plastic use and decide that plastic will not be used,” he said.
