Bengaluru, Oct 13: With the employees’ unions of public sector HAL serving a nation-wide indedinite strike notice at the company’s all locations from Mon, Oct 14, with regard to settlement of Wage Revision effective from Jan 1, 2019, the management is trying its best to convince the workers to give up the strike.
Conciliation proceedings have commenced at all locations and the Labour authorities have advised the Unions to desist from agitation/strike and come to an amicable solution in consultation with Management.
The HAL management has also persuaded the Unions to desist from any confrontation/agitation and come forward for discussions with reasonable expectations.
Against this backdrop, keeping in view the overwhelming sentiment amongst majority of the employees for amicable and expeditious resolution of the issues and the overall interest of the Organization, the HAL management has held a series of meetings.
A few issues have already been settled and a few pending issues was taken.
Management has also offered to enhance allowances under Cafeteria system at 22% for workmen in Scale-1 to 10 & 20% for workmen in Special Scale as against uniform rate of 19% offered earlier and also assured that all the workmen will stand benefitted in terms of allowances on account of introduction of Cafeteria system
The management has also offered revised rate of Fitment benefit @11%.
During the negotiations, the Wage negotiation committee also apprised the Unions the ill-effects of resorting to any strike/agitation jeopardizing the interest of the employees Organization and the Nation at large.
