Mangaluru: CODP spreads awareness on police department jobs

Mangaluru, Oct 12: An awareness programme on 'Police Department Jobs' was organized by CODP on October 11 to benefit those aspirants who would like to take up government jobs as their future career. Recently, the government of Karnataka had advertised for vacancies for posts of police constable jobs and armed police.

Fr Oswald Monteiro, director of CODP, welcomed the dignitaries, job aspirant youth and other participants. He introduced CODP as a service to build the nation through its various developmental programmes and explained the importance of the day's programme. He also encouraged the participants to take up police jobs which are coveted and secure.

Santharam, Police Inspector of Kadri Police Station, here, in his addressal to the participants said, "Less candidates coming forward to take up police jobs from coastal Karnataka. I encourage youngsters to join the Police force."



The resource person for the programme was Sudakar, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Kadri Police Station, Mangaluru. He explained the importance of Police jobs and how it is beneficial for youth. He said there are better prospects through promotions. The work is admirable since police protect the people. There is more respect for police in society accompanied by good salary and job security. Above all, there is job satisfaction since we work for the betterment of the nation and society.

Maruthi S V, Sub-Inspector of Kadri Police Station, Mangaluru, clarified doubts participants had on police jobs.

Francis D'Cunha, headmaster of Paduva High School, Nanthoor explained the procedures of applying for Police posts by displaying the online application on the LCD screen and the documents to be submitted along with their application. He motivated and encouraged the youth to take up the coveted jobs.

About 51 aspiring youth attended the motivation programme which was organized by the Career Advancement Cell of CODP and sponsored by MCC Bank.
