Mangaluru: CAP quiz prize distribution, YET programme held at CODP Nanthoor

Mangaluru, Oct 7: The CAP Quiz 2019 prize distribution programme was held on October 6 at CODP, Nanthoor. A total of 80 people were present. The audience represented CAP Quiz winners, 8th 9th and 10th YET students and a few parents.

Dr G Santhosh Kumar, (KAS) Deputy Commissioner of (administration) Mangaluru City Corporation, Fr Oswald Monteiro, director of CODP and Fr Vincent D'Souza designated director of CODP and Anil Lobo, chairman of MCC Bank were present on the dais.

Dr G Santhosh Kumar in his motivational talk to the students urged them to make remote preparation at High School to write IAS/KAS exam and study General Knowledge Books and read standard newspapers regularly. He said the desire to achieve and excel should come from within. Therefore hard work by students is required.



Fr Oswald Monteiro welcomed the gathering and presided over the function.

Anil Lobo, chairman of MCC Bank in his talk encouraged the students to participate in all career guidance motivational programmes. He also assured to finance all such programmes. He distributed prizes to the winners of the quiz. The winners of the CAP QUIZ 2019 were Savin Leroy D'Souza from Urwa Mangaluru who received first prize of Rs 7000 and Lishan D'Souza Surathkal who secured second prize got a cash award of Rs 5,000 and Milton Pinto Vamadapadvu who secured third prize got a cash award of Rs 3000 respectively.

Fr Francis Gomes, retired principal of St Philomena College, Puttur compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks. Thereafter YET classes were held for the high school students till evening.
