Mangaluru, Sep 30: The Post Graduate Department of Chemistry, St Agnes College, here organized a guest lecture on September 27 for the students of I year and II year MSc Chemistry on the topic 'Suitable method for NET/SET preparation' by Dr M R Maddani, assistant professor, department of Chemistry, Mangalore University.

The session started with a formal welcome by Varshitha of II MSc Chemistry followed by the introduction of the guest speaker by Zubaida of II MSc Chemistry.

Dr M R Maddani started the session by sharing some information on Chemistry and briefing about the various opportunities for jobs and higher studies after MSc Chemistry in India as well as abroad. He explained the exam pattern for NET/SET, marks distribution, preparation steps, the important topics on which students have to concentrate etc. He also explained the advantages of being a PhD and applying for a job whether in the industry or teaching or research. The session was very informative and stimulating for the students.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Mamatha from II MSc Chemistry. Dr Geetha M Pinto, head of the department presented a memento to him as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
