Mangaluru: Christian Minority Womens Multipurpose Co-op Society conducts annual general meet

Mangaluru, Sep 17: Christian Minority Women’s Multipurpose Co-operative Society recently convened its fourth annual general meeting at Bishop’s House auditorium here invoking God’s blessings with an opening prayer by the directors.

The Board of Directors Shalet Pinto, Sylvia D'Souza, Benedicta D'Souza, Julia Crasta, Lidwin Lobo, Flavy D'Souza, Godwin Rebello, Aprocine Veigas, Assumptha Crasta, Nancy Pais and Josephine D'Souza led by president Hilda Alva were invited to the dais.

The president welcomed all the directors and shareholders. The annual report, annual accounts and budget were presented by the CEO and approved by the members of the society.

CEO of the society, Wilma Anitha D'Souza announced that chartered accountant, Vivian Pinto was appointed as the auditor for the year 2019-20.

Vice president Julia Crasta proposed the vote of thanks.

The AGM concluded with the National Anthem.

    Why have they named themselves as "Christian Minority Women"?
    Are there minorities among women based on such criteria as class, income, or even caste? If the last, how can they call themselves Christians?
