Daijiworld Media Network - Dubai (SR)

Dubai, Sep 10: A 5-year-old boy was found alone at Reef Mall in Deira on September 7. No one has come forward to claim the boy, whose nationality is yet to be ascertained. Cops suspect that the boy was abandoned at the Mall.

Dubai police on September 8 appealed the residents for help in tracing the boy's parents and have posted a photo on their social media platforms. They have urged residents who have any information about the boy's guardians to contact the control room at 997 or the Muraqqabat police station at 04 266 0555. All major newspapers in the country have published the missing person report, but the boy's guardians or parents are yet to get in touch with the police.

Chief public prosecutor, Bu Abdullah said, "If one of his parents or both are proven to have intentionally left the boy behind, our prosecution will then handle the case because the suspect is a family member. Otherwise, it will be investigated by another prosecution." A female officers specialised in child psychology would talk to the boy at the child interrogation room at the Juvenile and Family Prosecution, Abdullah added.

from the features it appears that this boy is of mixed parentage probably philippino/indonesian/malaysian woman and arab/iranian man...just a possibility...marriages between arabs and women of other nationalities are common, there is large of number of women from above countries as well as from former soviet republics and also ethiopean women...the richer arabs are pretty cultured and sophisticated and altruistic...this boy will be in the care of some noble family...

Could be a Philippines, Thai or Indonesian woman. May have already left the country. But UAEhas an excellent system to allow such children to local childlessness couples.

If he is five years old, isn't he saying anything about himself or his parents, the place where he lived, and so on ?

Ladies from these countries are very pretty but do menial work like maids or cleaning staff. Many times married men hide the truth about their marriage and build a relationship with them. One fine day, he is gone and she is left alone to deal with their child/ren. Having children out of wedlock is a serious offence in UAE. She waits for him unendingly and when its no more bearable, she abandons them and leaves. Her friends don't reveal one word, even if they know the child.

    Hrart wrenching but true.

Before we jump into unnecessary conclusion, let's wait for the Police to conclude their investigation. I have lived in Dubai for 42 years and trust me they are one of the best Police Force we can see today. Non-corrupt and very sympathetic to these situations. Please bear with the current status. Do not assume Deshbakt. We are good at assuming.

Bro.. Having children out of wedlock is a serious offence in UAE. So once any women goes to the hospital for delivery she must prove her marriage and only then she will be discharged from the hospital. So that means this child is not from out of wedlock.

Shoaib, do you know that a delivery can happen at home also ? God save the child and let it be a normal delivery. These girls are having qualified nurses among them.

Many times illegally living entire family comes to fore, with all children born at home and none of the birth registered, thus giving consular staff a big head ache.
