Mangaluru, Sep 9: Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, September 8, former minister B Ramanath Rai said that when Sasikanth Senthil was in charge of the district, everyone including BJP and other political parties, organizations and the people in general were in lavish praise of Senthil, hailing him as an honest and efficient officer. However, just because he pointed fingers at the central government's policies when resigning, his honesty is being questioned by some people now, he criticized.
Rai noted that those who did not speak anything about Senthil when he was the deputy commissioner, have begun to cast aspersions on him now. "They have begun to find fault in his method of administration. People who question the central government and its policies are now being treated as traitors. Is this justified?" he wanted to know.
He blamed the Prime Minister for not conducting survey of flood-affected people in the state and also for not releasing any aid to the state. "The chief minister had said that during the Prime Minister's visit to Bengaluru on Saturday, he would plead for liberal funds for helping the flood victims. But he failed to do so," he claimed.
Comparing Modi with Imran Khan, he said that Modi is like Imran Khan. "Modi is not bothered about the wellbeing of people reeling under flood. Both Modi and Imran entered into an internal understanding for winning elections. Therefore both are hurling accusations against each other," Rai stated.
Party leaders, Kodijal Ibrahim, M Shashidhar Hegde, Kavitha Sanil, Vishwas Kumar Das, R K Prathwiraj, Ganesh Poojary and others were present.
