Mangalore, Jun 22: The police will be writing to the managements of all temples in the district to install burglar alarms in their temples, in the wake of increasing temple burglary cases.
Inspector General of Police (Western Range) Gopal Hosur said in a press meet on Sunday that the alarm facility would help to prevent burglaries in a great way.
“Increased number of temple burglary cases are being reported in the district in the recent days. An attempt to burgle articles worth over Rs 90 lakh from Kudupu temple was prevented last night night since the temple had alarm system,” the IGP said.
