Mangaluru: Festive Independence Day celebrations held at St Agnes CBSE School Bendore

Media Release

Mangaluru, Aug 15: The morning of August 15, had an air of patriotism and exhilaration on the campus of St Agnes CBSE School, Bendore, here. This august day was celebrated with great pride and festivity.

The occasion was graced by Col Ravindra Maan, administrative officer of the Mangaluru NCC headquarters. The celebration was put together by the students of the primary and high school under the able guidance of their teachers.

The programme began with the chief guest unfurling the tricolour in the presence of the entire school fraternity.

Patriotism could be clearly witnessed during a downpour which took place whilst hoisting the flag and singing the National Anthem, but not a single person moved away. The prayer service brought the realization that we as a nation need to break the shackles of corruption, hatred, discrimination etc.

The students paid their respects to the armed forces through a dance, creative tableau on the life of a soldier and mime.

The chief guest in his message encouraged the girls to be part of the armed forces and in turn to serve the nation. He greatly appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers in putting up the programme.

This culmination of song, dance and skit left a mark on the audience as they left with grateful but heavy hearts.
