Mangaluru, Aug 15: Integration Day was celebrated at St Agnes Pre university College, Mangaluru on Wednesday, August 14 at the college auditorium.

The occasion was graced by Lt Col Gracian Sequeira, administrative officer, 18 Karnataka Battalion NCC Mangaluru. He administered the oath to the NCC Cadets. In his address he questioned on the presence of integration in todays troubled times. “Why do we integrate only during wars and calamities? Why not in times of peace? If there can be unity in the armed forces, it is definitely possible to have unity among the lay people,” he said.

This was followed by a cultural programme performed by the students. The gathering was welcomed by Nidhi Shenoy and Ayesha Abdul Razak proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Relisha Renjal. The programme was witnessed by principal Sr Norine D'Souza, vice principal Sr Janet Sequeira, staff and the students of the college.
