Bengaluru, Jul 30: State chief minister, B S Yediyurappa, has passed an order to set the process of removal of heads of boards and corporations appointed by the coalition government, with immediate effect.
He has sought removal of ex-officio presidents of corporations, boards, authorities, commissions and other organizations and also their vice presidents, directors, and nominated members. He has instructed the additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries, and secretaries to function as the heads of these entities till further orders.
Chief secretary of the government, T M Vijay Bhaskar, has written to the heads of the departments concerned to issue notifications cancelling the said appointments with immediate effect until further orders, as per the instructions of the chief minister.
The BJP government has also cancelled the order as per which nominated members were appointed to syndicates of 13 universities in the state. As suggested by the department of higher education, the previous government has issued order on July 20 appointing syndicate members to universities including Bengaluru, Bangalore Central, Mangalore, Dharwad, Davanagere and other universities.
