Mangaluru, Jul 16: Tanya Monsef Bunger, Dean's executive professor, Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University (SCU) California, visited the AIMIT campus of St Aloysius College on July 15 and conducted one day workshop on ‘Global Accelerated Leadership Programme’ for the students and staff of AIMIT.
Fr Denzil Lobo SJ, director of AIMIT, delivered the key note address emphasizing on the 5 P’s, which are problem, passion, people, pivot and perseverance, in carrying out a business. He put forth an example of a bunch of entrepreneurial personalities from St Aloysius College who strove towards becoming successful.
In the morning session Prof Tanya interacted with the students in a session titled ‘Fostering Entrepreneurship Culture’. During her interaction with the students, she dwelt on how to write a business plan. She emphasized the importance of having the right vision and steps to achieve the same.
In the afternoon session she addressed the staff on ‘Leading like a Leader –Leadership Lessons for Management Educators’. In the session, she made the faculty discover their style of leadership.
Santa Clara University has been a great partner in offering online course on ‘starting a business’ course from its ‘My Own Business Institute’. More than 1000 students have pursued this course and found it very useful and have got the inspiration to be entrepreneurs.
