Mangaluru: National level workshop to be held at St Agnes College on Jul 12, 13

Mangaluru, Jul 10: The department of Statistics of St Agnes College (autonomous), here on July 12 and 13 will organise a two day national level workshop on 'Structural Equation Modeling'.

The inauguration will be on July 12 at 9.30 am by Dr R Selvamani IAS, CEO of Zilla Panchayat, DK, Dr Ismail B, former chairperson and professor of Statistics, Mangalore University who will be the chief guest.

Dr Sr M Jeswina AC, principal of St Agnes College, Mangaluru will preside over the programme. The valedictory programme will be on July 13 at 4.30 pm. Sr M Carmel Rita AC. Administrator of St Agnes College will be the chief guest.

The department of Statistics, St Agnes College aims to increase the awareness of power and impact of Statistics on all aspects of society and to promote importance of Statistics among students, faculty members and research scholars. It has initiated an effort in building the statistical skills of faculty members, research scholars of the institutions covering all the colleges of the country to boost their knowledge in the field of Multivariate Statistical Analysis Techniques.

The national level workshop is organized to throw light on the present modeling techniques by analyzing the structural relationship using latest statistical softwares and prediction of the phenomenon related to various fields of physical, life and social sciences such as Business & Management, Health Sciences, Economics and Financial Marketing.
