Puttur: Snake awareness programme held by Eco Club at St Philomena PU College

Puttur, Jul 1: Eco Club of St Philomena PU College organised a programme on 'We and Snakes' on June 28 at audio visual room.

Principal Fr Vijay Lobo in his presidential remarks said, “We should love nature and creatures. Snakes are not dangerous. They do not harm us until we harm them.” He encouraged students to respect animals and protect our environment.

The resource person Xavier Kiran Pinto said, “Trees are very essential and hence we should avoid deforestation.” He encouraged students to plant saplings and protect them. He enlightened students about varieties of snakes and their activities. He also explained various parts of the snake.



Thejas was present on the occasion.

Kavitha K (Department of Biology) and Shilpa Emila Rodrigues (Department of Mathematics) coordinated the programme.

Sudhanva (II PCMB'D') compered and welcomed the gathering. K Punith, president of Eco Club rendered the vote of thanks.
