Mangaluru, Jun 27: Mangalore University Vice Chancellor Dr P S Yadapadithaya inaugurated the Students’ council 2019-20 of St Aloysius College at the LCRI auditorium of the institution on Wednesday, June 26.
Meanwhile, Dr P S Yadapadithaya was felicitated on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering Dr P S Yadapadithaya said, "I am overwhelmed with the felicitation by the management of St Aloysius College. When I took charge as the vice chancellor of Mangalore University my philosophy was continuity with change, as expectations are high and I have to deliver the goods.”
Yadapadithaya also said, "This institution is 140-years-old and has power of blessing. St Aloysius is always one step ahead and I get inspired of this. Every student should embrace 5 D that is destination, direction, discipline, dedication and devotion. Christian institutions provide quality education because of the sacrifice and the philosophy to serve the needy. Every student in this college is nurtured with innovation and that freedom has given to the lecturers in this college.”
Principal of St Aloysius College, Fr Dr Praveen Martis said, "I congratulate all the members of the students’ council who have taken charge as cabinet members for the year 2019 - 20. Leaders should always be aware about their strength and weaknesses to move forward. Strive hard to take this institution forward.”
In his presidential address, rector of St Aloysius Institutions, Fr Dionysius Vaz said, "Every student needs to dream and discover things and take important decisions in their life to get positive results. I wish all the best for the students’ council for the next one year to bring out best in you.”
Principal of St Aloysius College, Fr Praveen Martis administered the oath to the elected president Lloyd Sequiera.

Director, students’ council, Dr Rathan T Mohunta welcomed the gathering. Manoj Fernandes compered the event and vice president of students’ council Rupal D’Souza rendered the vote of thanks.
Registrar A M Narahari, assistant director Students’ council Dr Santhosh Goveas, Student council Vice-president Rupal D’Souzand others were present.
