Udupi, Jun 15: Deserving young talents of the Nirmala English Medium School, Brahmavar, were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school from the front with their commitment, confidence and competence on June 12.
The school held the investiture ceremony with great enthusiasm. The investiture ceremony marked a significant beginning of the new academic year. It was a solemn occasion where the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted to them by the school. To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a sense of responsibility the new ‘Prefectorial Body’ is formed every year. This year, Sugam G of Class X and Sinchan of class IX, were elected as the SPL and ASPL of the school.
The function was presided over by the Principal Fr Joslie F D’Silva, OFM Cap and the chief guest Raghavendra C, sub-inspector and Sundar, assistant inspector of Brahmavar police station. Prathvi of class 9th propose the welcome speech. The programme was initiated by lighting the lamp. The inauguration of Kannada, English, Hindi, Maths and Science club was conducted. The responsibilities and duties of the clubs were read out by the presidents of each club. Kavitha, class teacher of class 10 introduced the member of the parliament as well as the president of the parliament. Principal Fr Josli D’Silva read the oath to the office bearers. SPL Sugam and ASPL Sinchan along with the team of office bearers took the oath.
Chief guest Raghavendra C, addressing the students explain them what the parliament is and how the elections are conducted in India. “If we learn this basic thinks in our school practically then it is easy for use to choose a good leader in future,” he said. Principal in his speech encouraged the students that they should be honest and responsible with their duties throughout the year.
All the clubs presented one activity each based up on their clubs like skit, songs action song etc. Manya of class 8 rendered the vote of thanks. The programme was anchored by Elvish of class 10. The programme concluded with school anthem.
