Mangaluru, Jun 12: Parent–teacher interactive session was held for classes I to XII from June 6 to 11 at Lourdes Central School.
Principal Fr Robert Dsouza, vice principal, Belita Mascarenhas, class teachers and subject teachers of their respective classes were present. The class teacher and subject teachers introduced themselves. Anitha Thomas and Henry Mascarenhas briefed the parents on the rules and regulations of the school. The highlight of the briefing session was punctuality, discipline and sensitivity towards other students and the community at large.
The parents were acquainted with revised system of examination and internal assessment for classes VI to X by Gretta Menezes, for class XI and XII by Roshni Jose and Class I to V by Sunita.
The parents clarified their doubts about the assessment system, expressed their views and parent representatives for the PTA were elected.
Principal Fr Robert D’Souza exhorted the parents to work in partnership with teachers for the academic and overall development of their ward. He encouraged the parents to avail the facility of remedial classes for the benefit of their ward, he also stressed on the need of being sensitive towards the environment and urged the parents to pitch in their bit in being crusaders for a greener environment by carpooling, reducing the use of plastic, recycling or donating old books that could be used by the have-nots in the society. He congratulated the parents for their cooperation in making the school campus mobile free and requested them to continue the same.
The principal proudly announced the 100 percent results of the school in the AISSE and AISSCE Board exams of Class X and XII for the year 2018-19.
The interactive sessions were fruitful and greatly appreciated by all.
