Mangaluru Jun 3: The new academic year commenced for the trainees of St Ann’s Pre-Primary Education on June 3.
The student trainees entered the classroom with colourful balloons as a sign to excel and to go beyond the boundaries with freedom. The day began with a meaningful prayer service conducted by teachers.
The co-ordinator, Sr Reethika AC, Vilma D'Souza, the asst teacher and Chaitra S P, the representative of the class, lit the lamp and inaugurated the new academic year.
Sr Reethika AC, the co-ordinator gave the orientation for the course. The orientation began with a short skit, a conversation between God and a teacher. She began the talk by saying that teachers are special people because they symbolize and stand for glowing lamps illuminating the darkness of ignorance; skilled potters molding and forming the tender, young minds and hearts entrusted to their care; devoted gardeners tending and nurturing the budding plants in their garden, helping them to blossom and bloom through their care and concern. So the trainees who are going to be teachers are called to be committed and self-sacrificing, to bring out the best in their students.
Each of the trainees burst a balloon and shared their joy by distributing sweets.
