Mangaluru: CCB Police arrest one bookie in connection with cricket betting

Mangaluru, May 31: "CCB Police of the city arrested a bookie in connection with the cricket betting on ICC Cricket world cup 2019, which commenced on May 30," said Police commissioner Sandeep Patil.

Arrested bookie has been identified as Vishwas, aged around 40, a resident of Konaje.

Vishwas was involved in cricket betting through play 365 app. He is also involved in high-profile gambling. Vishwas was wanted in the betting case pertaining to the recently concluded IPL but he had absconded to Goa.

Vishwas is also involved in gambling and was detained during the illegal gambling at Adyar earlier this year.
