Mangaluru, May 25: Celebrity astrologer, Dwarakanath, had predicted that JD(S) candidates would win in Hassan, Tumakuru, and Mandya constituencies. The JD(S) activists expressed ire at the failed predictions of the astrologer.
Chief minster, Kumaraswamy, had visited the famous astrologer after the two phases of polling in the state. During this time, Dwarakanath had told him that as per his calculations, JD(S) candidates will surely win in the above three constituencies.
The JD(S) leaders as well as followers had reposed firm faith on this prediction. Several JD(S) workers mobbed the residence of Dwarakanath on Friday, after the result came out on Thursday, and exchanged strong words with him. They told him that they haf in his prprevailed eavily on his prediction and were fully confident about the victory of their candidated. They stated that they have lost their respect in their areas.
Dwarakanath tried to calm down the agitated workers by telling them that the prediction cannot be perfect all the time. He said that predictions are made on the basis of prevailing circumstances and on certain calculations. The workers said that he should have told beforehand that his prediction was only general in nature and not perfect, it is gathered.
Dwarakanath, known with the title, 'Rajaguru' or royal predictor, is said to be close to minister D K Shivakumar. Both Shivakumar and his brother depend on him heavily, and begin their work on the dates given by him, it is learnt.
