Mangaluru: Corporation Bank clocks total turnover of Rs 3.05 lac crore

Mangaluru, May 20: Public sector Corporation Bank has achieved total turnover of Rs 3,05,819 crore as at March 31, 2019. The total turnover of the bank for the previous year stood at Rs 3,03,185 crore. During this period, the bank collected Rs 1,84,568 crore deposit and extended loans amounting to Rs 1,21,251 crore.

Net non-performing assets of the bank stands at 5.71 percent, which is 15.35 percent of total non-performing assets.

The bank's lending to priority sectors is 43.82 percent of total credit including 18.55 percent for agriculture. This is over and above the annual target of 18 percent.

The bank has earned operating profit of Rs 3,894 crore and its net profit has seen a slide of Rs 6,333 crore, a release by the bank said.

    What is the point in boasting of 3.05 lakh crores of gross turn over and bottom line in red..... and the tax payer has to bear the burden.
