Kalaburagi, May 16: Karnataka state BJP president and former chief minister, B S Yeddyurappa, said that the members of Veerashaiva community would be wrong if they choose to vote for the Congress again. He reminded the people that this party had insulted its highly respected leader, Veerendra Patil, who had served Karnataka twice as its chief minister.
"For those belonging to Veerashaiva community hailing from this region, they would be doing a disservice to the great leader, Veerendra Patil. The Congress had thoroughly insulted Patil and sullied his image, although Veerendra Patil had helped Congress win 178 seats in Karnataka assembly," he said, addressing an election meeting at Kalgi village in the district on Tuesday May 14, seeking votes for party candidate, Avinash Jadhav.
