Mangaluru: SIT holds two-day student project exhibition

Mangaluru, May 6: Srinivas Institute of Technology has organized two days student project exhibition on May 3 and 4. The exhibition was inaugurated by Praveen Castelino, CTO and co-founder of Code Craft Technologies, Mangaluru, who was the chief guest. The Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal, Srinivas Institute of Technology was presided over the function and dias was shared by Dr Shankar K S, convener of the project exhibition.

Addressing the students the chief guest advised them to involve themselves in the project completely and learn the required skills to meet the industry needs.

Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D in his presidential address remarked on the need for the students to participate in all phases of the project and to contribute individually for the success of the project.



Convener Dr Shankar K S briefed about the project exhibition 2018-19. The total of 342 projects in all 09 departments will be on display, which includes 136 final year BE projects of which nine are sponsored by Karnataka State Council for Science & Technology (KSCST) Bengaluru, while 206 projects will be displayed as mini projects by pre-final year students. Number of projects exhibited by various departments was Mechanical 82, Computer Science 95, Electronics & Communication 47, Information Science 31, Electrical & Electronics 20, Automobile 27, Aeronautical 19, Marine 14 and Nanotechnology 5.

All the projects were judged by internal and external experts and the best projects were selected.

The inaugural function was started with invocation by Chethana 3rd Year, EC. Sumith Chakrawarthy, 4th year Marine Engineering introduced chief guest, Vaishnavi, final year EEE welcomed the gathering and Sony T, IS of final year EC rendered the vote of thanks. Delrin Dmello of 3rd year ECE compered the programme.
