Mangaluru: SIT to hold two-day student project exhibition

Mangaluru, May 2: Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT) will organize two-day student project exhibition on May 3 and 4.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Praveen Castelino, CTO and co-founder of Code Craft Technologies, Mangaluru. CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation Mangaluru will be presiding over the function. Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor of Srinivas University and vice president of A Shama Rao Foundation Mangaluru, A Vijayalakshmi R Rao, director of Srinivas Group of colleges Mangaluru and A Mitra S Rao, secretary of Srinivas Group of colleges Mangaluru will be the guests of honour on the occasion. The dais will be shared by Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal, Srinivas Institute of Technology and Dr Shankar KS, convener of the project exhibition.

A total of 342 projects in all nine departments will be on display, which includes 136 final year BE projects of which 9 are sponsored by Karnataka State Council for Science & Technology (KSCST) Bengaluru, while 206 projects will be displayed as mini projects by pre-final year students. Number of projects exhibited by various departments is: Mechanical Engg.-82, Computer science & Engg.-95, Electronics & Communication Engg.-47, Information Science and Engg.-31, Electrical & Electronics Engg.-20, Automobile Engg.-27, Aeronautical Engg.-19, Marine Engg.-14 and Nanotechnology -5. All the projects will be judged by internal and external experts. The best projects will be awarded with cash prizes.
