Kasargod, Apr 29: National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday, April 29 clarified that two Kasargod based suspects were in no way involved in Easter Sunday serial bomb blasts that were carried out in Sri Lanka by an extremist organization.

The NIA had raided houses located in Vidyanagar and Koodlu in the city suburbs and on April 27 and detained Abubacker Siddique and Ahmed Arafat. Mobile phones and a few documents were taken into custody. The detained were asked to report for further questioning to the NIA office in Kochi on Monday.

The raid was reportedly conducted based on the information that the terror suspects from Sri Lanka had visited Kerala and Tamil Nadu in 2017.

NIA had interrogated on suspicions of them having close contacts with Zahran Hashim, the mastermind of the Sri Lanka suicide bombings.

NIA had also conducted raids in Palakkad and taken another suspect into custody.

There was atime when the most horrific terrorism was related to Khalistan and Indira Gandhi took a very brave decision to get our forces enter the holy Golden Temple and out an end to terrorism in the name of khalistan. Unfortunately that is forgotten now and even if remembered it is as an act against tue Sikh community. But whatever the bjp does it is patriotic, doesnt matter even if it means to killing democracy. What an irony.
