Mangaluru, April 27: Durga Sanjeevani Manipal Hospital, one of the dream projects of BSKB association (Gokula) Mumbai, will be inaugurated at Kateel by Pejawar Math seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji on April 29.
BSKB president Dr Suresh Rao Kateel is also the president of Association of Medical Consultants, prestigious doctor among Tulu Kannadigas, managing director of Sanjeevani Hospital, Andheri East, and member of Indian Medical Association and Maharashtra Medical council.
Durgaparameshwari temple Kateel trustee, priest Vasudev Asranna, managing committee president, trustee Sanathkumar Shetty Kodethooruguthu, Manipal Academy of Higher Education MAHE vice chancellor Dr H L Ballal and Dr Ranjan Pai, MAHE medical superintendant Dr Anand Venugopal and other elite are expected to take part in the poojas at 8 am followed by the inauguration at 10.20 am.

A Yakshagana performance will be held in the hospital premises by Dashavatara Yakshagana mandali at 8.30 pm. Dr Suresh Rao Kateel, trustees Vijayalaxmi S Rao, Laxmisha Acharya, Dr Shruthi Rao, Dr Deviprasad Rao and Dr Prashanth Rao have requested one and all to attend the programme.
Kateel vicinity and Durga Sanjeevani Manipal Hospital
It is a project by Durga Parameshwari temple trust and KMC MAHE. Sanjeevani Charitable Trust founder Dr Suresh S Rao has constructed the multi-crore hospital so that people in Kateel where he was born and brought up should receive excellent medical facilities. Farmers, labourers and petty traders reside in the village.
The three-storey hospital built in an area of 1.5 acres land has an area of 70,000 square feet. The hospital will provide quality treatment at reasonable rates. It has 100 beds and the emergency ward will work round the clock. It will also have departments of maternity and gynecology, orthopedic, general medicine, eye section, ear nose and throat, emergency treatment, ICU and mortuary. It will also have lab, medical store, well maintained parking facilities and quarters for doctors. The multi specialty hospital will function round the clock.
