Bengaluru, Apr 27: In a complaint filed in Vidhana Soudha police station here, BJP's SC/ST Morcha national general secretary, Chi Na Ramu, has sought to invoke provisions of sedition law against chief minister (CM), H D Kumaraswamy, based on the statement made by the CM that he was aware of the Pulwama terrorist attack two years beforehand.
"A retired army officer had alerted me in advance. I knew about the upcoming Pulwama attack two years in advance. The officer told me that before the next Lok Sabha election, friction will arise between India and Pakistan. He also informed me that Modi would concoct some kind of story to seek votes for himself. He also held discussions with me. This incident has happened as predicted," Kumaraswamy said in an election rally he addressed at Chikkamagaluru, Ramu has alleged.
Ramu also has sought to try the CM for putting the sovereignty of the country in peril, treason, purposefully concealing information about destructive activities, compromising national security, violation of oath, etc under different sections of Indian Penal Code, National Security Act and Prevention of Terrorism Act.
In the complaint, Ramu said that Kumaraswamy has indirectly been responsible for allowing destructive activities to happen, and causing the deaths of a number of members of security forces by concealing information available with him in advance.
