Dubai, Apr 25: In solidarity with the victims of the serial bomb blasts in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, world-renowned skycraper Burj Khalifa on Thursday April 25 lit up with the colours of Sri Lanka's flag.
Sharing the image of the sky-scraper all lit up, the Burj Khalifa's official Twitter handle conveyed a message of tolerance and co-existence.
"#BurjKhalifa lights up in solidarity with #SriLanka. Here’s to a world built on tolerance and coexistence," the tweet said.
Khaleej Times reported that apart from the Burj Khalifa, iconic landmarks in Abu Dhabi such as the The Emirates Palace, Sheikh Zayed Bridge, ADNOC building, Capital Gate also lit up with the colours of Sri Lanka's national flag.
Serial blasts in Sri Lanka's churches and luxury hotels have claimed over 350 lives so far. ISIS has taken responsibility for the attack and the police have aready arrested several in connection to the blasts.
