Mangaluru, Apr 16: Well known artist and environment campaigner Dinesh Holla helped as a resource person in ‘Shakthi can create 2019’ summer camp being held in Shakthi Residential School. He spoke to school children about improving their handwriting, drawing and created awareness about animals, birds, trees and plantations in the surrounding.
He said that our lives depend completely on nature. “Wild animals are not enemies of mankind. Those have equal right to live as human beings have,” he said.
“Destruction of trees and plantations by us amount to hacking our own lives and happiness. The feeling of man that he is the owner of the world is selfish. It will result in his doom,” said Dinesh Holla.
Dinesh Holla who took part for two days in the camp that began on April 11 succeeded in creating awareness about environment among children.
School principal Vidyakamath G welcomed. Teacher Poornima Rai rendered the vote of thanks. Arts teacher Poornesh introduced the resource person.
