Mangaluru, Oct 17: The investigation into the murder of bus conductor Rajesh, whose body was found near Indira Canteen at Hamilton Circle, has gained momentum.

Rajesh, who worked as a conductor on a private bus plying between Mangaluru and Vittal, was found murdered with a stone placed on his body on Monday. Initially, the police were unaware of his identity, and the body was kept in the mortuary at Wenlock Hospital. It was later discovered that he was from Bajpe.

Rajesh's parents are deceased, and he is survived by his sister. His family members arrived at Wenlock, took possession of his body, and performed the final rites.

Rajesh resided in a room in Mangaluru and worked as a bus conductor. He was also involved in a finance business. It remains unclear whether his murder was related to financial disputes or other reasons. His colleagues and friends were shocked by the news, as Rajesh was known for his mild nature. The police have reviewed CCTV footage from the State Bank area and reportedly have a clue about the accused.
