Bengaluru, Jan 17: A lady constable of the city police department showed exemplary act of humanity by breastfeeding a day-old baby girl, who was left on the street.

Some strangers had thrown the one-day old girl baby on the road side near GKVK Campus of Yelahanka in the city. A passerby who noticed the orphan baby conveyed the same to the child protection activists. The activists immediately rushed to the spot and admitted the newborn baby to a hospital.

Sangeeta S Halimani, lady constable of Yelahanka police station, who arrived to the hospital breastfed the baby. Sangeeta herself is the mother of a ten-month-old baby girl. The doctors of the said hospital have lauded the act of humanity displayed by Sangeeta. Prior to the arrival of the lady constable, the hosptial authorities had fed the baby with Formula milk, made of milk powder.

"The orphened baby girl reminded me of my own child. I have breast fed the baby after obtaining permission from the doctors. The baby is fine now," said Sangeetha.

The baby is recuperating in the Vanivilas hospital of the city.

Please don't play caste politics. This is just an humantarian gesture which is commendable.

Accordingly to you only certain community people commit sins. is it?
BTW what makes you sure that the little infant belongs to other community?

    Kudos to the Lady Cop!
