Belagavi, Dec 22: "The winter session of the legislature went on smoothly. Last two days of the proceedings went down the drain because of BJP," said chief minister (CM) of Karnataka, H D Kumaraswamy.
Speaking to media persons about the ten-day session of the assembly and council held at Suvarna Soudha here, the CM noted that during the early days, the sessions in both the houses went on smoothly without any problems. Congratulating the presiding officers of both the houses for conducting proceedings of the house smoothly, he said that debate for nine and half hours was held about north Karnataka during this session.
He claimed that the government has properly furnished replies to questions raised and charged BJP of blocking the government from providing suitable details on loan waiver scheme.
"I have never behaved arrogantly during the session, and never ever claimed myself to be very intelligent and knowledgeable. I had asked BJP members to come up with suggestions on loan waiver scheme. Our loan waiver scheme is a model for others. Yeddyurappa is an intelligent politician," he said.
Yeddyurappa on his part said that the chief minister has been continuing with his haughty, arrogant behaviour. He said that CM was expected to come to the house and apologize at least on the last day of the session and leaders of the opposition could have been taken into confidence. Noting that Kumaraswamy did not visit Suvarna Soudha, he predicted that the people of the state will teach him a fitting lesson.
