Udupi Dec 15: “In today’s world our rituals and love towards each other have become mechanical. There is no affection in the love shown. There is no humanity in present world. Holy scriptures must be followed in our life”, said Eesha Vittaldas Swamiji of Sandipani Math Kemaru.
He was addressing as a chief guest in the concluding ceremony of “Prophet Mohammed, the greatest Leader of Mankind” programme held in Udupi on Friday Dec 14.
“These types of programmes are a beginning to build a healthy, peaceful society. We talk only about our Holy Scriptures but we never study it seriously. We put our bad thoughts in the Holy Scriptures and which results in communal violence in society” Swamiji said.
“Today, alcohol, ganja and drugs spoil the male society whereas women are spoilt by TV serials. We have to discard the thought of old age homes. Our parents are our pride. We need to take care of them in our homes itself”, he added.
Another chief guest Mohammed Kunhi, manager of Shanthi Prakashan Mangaluru on the occasion said “Prophet Mohammed’s teachings in 6th century are even relevant in 21st century also. Prophet taught the people in the language which they could easily understand. Prophet asked to see the world with an open eye. Nature does its work even if people do not exist.”
“Prophet Mohammed introduced God to us. He never asked us to fight in the name of God. Prophet only told to follow the religion but never asked to protect the religion. If we don’t have respect to human being there could be no love. We have started to protect the religion without knowing about the religion”, he added.
‘Prophet Mohammed, the greatest Leader of Mankind’ movement was held as a part of spreading the message of Prophet Mohammed. Street plays, symposium, meeting with other religious leaders and politicians were held as part of this movement.
