Bengaluru, Dec 14: It is gathered that police personnel from Paris are on a visit to India to interrogate certain terrorists working for Indian Mujahideen (IM) and other organizations, in connection with an investigation concerning a blast that went off in Paris three years ago, claiming 130 lives.
Some IM operatives who had close contact with IM founder, Riyaz Bhatkal, are in prisons, having been arrested in connection with serial blasts and Chinnaswamy Stadium blast case here. Paris police have information that Riaz had links with Al Qaeda and ISIS. There were allegations that Subahani Haja Moideen from Kerala, who was arrested by National Investigation Agency in 2016, who has links with ISIS, was involved with the blast in Paris.

During the police investigation, they found that Subahani was active in IM in the past, and was connected with Bhatkal brothers. He had taken over responsibility of IM affairs in Kerala. The police from Paris came here to question the IM operatives to find out Subahani's role in any in Paris blast, sources said.
It is said that the special investigation team of Paris police has got important lead into the Paris blast. Riyaz Bhatkal and his close ones are now said to be sheltered in Saudi Arabia where they have been supported by ISIS. Therefore they have intensified probe into the role of IM in the Paris blast, it is said.
The team from Paris visited prisons in Kerala and Bengaluru, to question people and put together information. The team has already completed its task in the city and Thrissur. They want to find out whether he had played any role with the Paris blast and also whether he had joined hands with other terrorist organizations from India.
