Mangaluru: Seven couples tie the knot at mass marriage at Kudroli temple

Mangaluru Dec 2: As many as seven couples tied the nuptial knot at a mass wedding ceremony held at Kudroli Gokarnanatheswara temple here on Sunday, December 2, jointly organised by Kudroli Gokarnanatheswara temple and Biruver Kudla women wing.

This is the maiden mass wedding ceremony conducted by Biruver Kudla women wing.

Former union minister B Janardhana Poojary and Sri Paramananda Swamiji of Shivagiri Math took part in the wedding and blessed the couples.

On behalf of the organisers, saree, gold Mangala sutra and toe ring were given to the brides, and dhoti, shirt and shawl were presented to the grooms.

After the function, the couples took the darshan of the Lord before having food at the temple dining hall.

President of Kudroli temple H S Sairam, Madhava Suvarna, Devendra Poojary, Shekar Poojary, president of Biruver Kudla Uday Poojary, president Birvuver Kudla women wing Vidya Rakesh, vice-chairman of Kudroli development committee Urmila Ramesh Kumar and treasurer Padmaraj R were present.others were present.
