Udupi, Dec 2: "Navyug company is given a last chance. If they do not complete the work within the stipulated time, I will pressurise to blacklist them, warned MP Shobha Karandlaje.
Shobha was speaking to the scribes at Kota near here on Saturday, December 1. Shobha further said "More than enough time is given to the company to complete the work. The project needs to be completed as soon as possible."
"It is the demand of the local people that relaxation needs to be given to residents in and around 10 to 20 km area of both the tollgates in the district. However, there is no provision in the law for the same. So the officials opine that the locals have to pay the toll fee to move through the tollgates. Mediation is the only way to request any rebate in the toll fee. So I will try to appraise the demand of the locals with the central government. As H D Revanna, minister for PWD, did not respond properly when the delegation met him, I will join with the Highway Awareness Committee in their next action," said Shobha.
Kota Srinivas Poojary, opposition leader of legislative council, Raghavendra Kanchan, member of zilla panchayat, Geetanjali Suvarna and Kadoor Suresh Shetty, president BJP zonal committee, Kundapur were present.

Pratap Shetty also informed that all the MLAs and the people representatives will be called for the protest. A meeting to finalize the agenda and final decisions is called at Sastan on Monday, December 3.
