Beltangady: Holy Cross Manjotti celebrates annual feast

Beltangady, Sep 19: The newly erected church of Holy Cross Manjotti celebrated its maiden feast on September 14 with devotion.

Fr Bonaventure Nazareth after inaugurating the newly built grotto of St Joseph offered a solemn mass.

Fr Naveen Pinto broke the word of God and the importance of cross in our life saying that it gives life to those who accept it and strength to overcome the difficulties in our life. 

Fr Jason Monis parish priest, the other priests from the ward and guest priests con-celebrated the mass.
 
A meal was served to the devotees and the initiative was taken up by the parish youth.



About Holy Cross church Manjotti 

Holy Cross Church Manjotti is a newly erected church inaugurated on May 18. Fr Bonaventure Nazareth the parish priest of Beltangady took up the entire responsibility of erecting the new church from the initial stage to completion. Holy Cross Church Manjotti is situated near Jamalabad Fort where Catholics had given their life for the faith during the time of Tipu Sultan when he took them as captives. A beautiful church adds beauty and provides an environment to pray and spend time in prayer. At present, the Jamalabad Fort is open for trekking. Lots of visitors and tourists come to visit the church and offer prayers. The beautiful scenery of the Western Ghat and the Charmadi Hills soothens the eyes and prompts one to marvel at the wonders of God.
