Udupi: ICYM unit of Holy Family Church, Brahmavar holds cultural competition

Udupi, Sep 13: ICYM Holy Family church, Brahmavar held ‘Sakkad Sangatha Melya’ cultural competition for the parishioners at Nirmala English Medium School Hall on September 9.

Around 250 parishioners from 10 wards participated in the competition.

It was formally inaugurated in unique way by Fr Victor Fernandes, parish priest, Brahmavar Church, who appreciated the ICYM unit and wished everyone the best.

Soon after the inaugural ceremony, parishioners from different wards presented various cultural programmes.



Judges for the event were Melwyn Rodrigues, Shaila Fernandes and Fr Ryan Pais.

The valedictory programme was presided by Fr Ryan Pais. Melwyn Rodrigues gave the feedback of the programme and appreciated all the wards and ICYM for their creativity and congratulated them for conducting the programme.

Raviprakash Gonsalves announced the results of the competition. Chanthar Nithyadar ward was the winner of the competition.

Fr Roshan, Assistanat parish priest, Brahmavar church, Raviprakash Gonsalves and Antony Barnes, vice president and secretary of parish pastoral council, Brahmavar Church, Alphonse D'Souza, Diana D'Souza, youth commission coordinator, Joel D’Almeida, ICYM animator, Rolwin Lobo and Roshini D'Souza, president and secretary, ICYM
Brahmavar unit, and Delson Lewis, ICYM cultural secretary were present for the event.

Rolwin Lobo welcomed the gathering and introduced the judges of the competition. Roshni D'Souza rendered the vote of thanks and Dezline D’silva compered the programme.
