New Delhi, Oct 20: Chetan Anand's bid to win his third title on the trot came crashing as the national champion went down fighting against third seed Indonesian Andre K Tedjono in the men's singles finals of the Dutch Open Grand Prix badminton tournament in Amsterdam on Sunday.

Sixth seeded Anand lost to the third seed Tedjono 15-21, 21-11, 19-21 in a 51-minute gruelling battle.

India had more disappointment in store as Rupesh Kumar and Sanave Thomas failed to put up a fight and lost in straight games to top seeded pair of Fran Kurniawan and Rendra Wijaya of Indonesia in the men's doubles final.

The Indian pair lost 18-21, 18-21 in a lopsided match that lasted just 29 minutes.
