Mangaluru: Milagres College Alumni Association inaugurated

Mangaluru, Aug 21: The inauguration of Milagres College Alumni Association (MCAA) was held on August 19.

Prof Lawrence D’Costa, the founder principal of the college, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the association by lighting the lamp. In his message, he said that the college has played important role in student life, as they have spent three fruitful years which has transformed them into responsible and better citizens with sound value system and shaped a better future for them.

“There is a need for the members of the association to become true ambassadors and torchbearers of the college and who will spread and propagate the goodwill of the college. Whenever they come to the portals of the college, they have a feeling of home coming, rather than have a feeling of members of the association,” he said.

Academic advisor Prof Lourdusamy enlightened the gathering with regard to the importance of alumni association. Every alumni at their alma mater should cherish relieve and enjoy at their college, he said.

Secretary of the alumni association Ashish Bava in his message said it gave him a sense of proudness to be at his college. It cherished his student days and the impact the college had in shaping his career.

Principal Fr Michael Santhumayor, detailed the by-laws and constitution in forming of the association.

Zoya Ismail was appointed as the joint secretary. Elston Neil D’Souza, Noel Kumar, Terence Crasta, Vishal, G Anusha, Shwetha D’Souza student representatives of various batches were selected as members of executive committee.

Glen Mendonca of I BSc HS compered the programme and Anju Thomas rendered the vote of thanks.
