Karate and Fight- weaponless means of self defense

Karate is a Japanese word meaning 'Empty Hand'”.

Karate uses all parts of the human body as a weapon such as the hand, fist, elbow, leg and knee.

It is one of the most widely practiced martial art forms in the world. Martial arts rely on acute physical coordination and mental focus.

This is an oriental system of unarmed combat using hands and feet to deliver and block blows, widely practiced as a sport. It is a martial art developed in the Ryukyu Kingdom. It developed from the indigenous Ryukyuan martial arts under the influence of Chinese Kung Fu.

Karate is also a Japanese martial art whose physical aspects seek the development of defensive and counterattacking body movements. The themes of traditional karate training are fighting and self defense, though its mental and moral aspects target the overall improvement of the individual.
