Al Khobar, Oct 9: As in the past, Karnataka Salafi Association's Dammam and Al Khobar Units in Saudi Arabia jointly organized a grand EID festival gathering named "EID KOOTA" here. The gathering was held at Iftar Tent near Municipality Office in Al-Khobar, the Corniche City of Saudi Arabia. The EID Koota started soon after the evening prayer, and ended at 9 pm. Variety of programmes on Islamic subjects, both for the adults and the children, were the focus of the gathering. The Children showed their divergent talents through various events like Islamic speech, songs, Quraan recitation etc. Special events for the ladies were also arranged.
Abdul Jabbar Musliyar, a prominent Daee (Preacher) in the Islamic Cultural Center in Dammam, was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address, Musliyar reiterated the responsibilities of the Muslims' towards the Islam as well as the society on the EID day and the day-to-day lives. "Fear of Allah and practice of Islam as presented by the prophet Muhammad (S A) is the real objective of every Muslim, without resorting to any deviation or innovation", Musliyar streamlined.
Abdul Majeed, one of the organizers and Daees, shared his view on the occasion. He expressed his displeasure towards some practices amongst the Muslims, which have no basis either in Quraan or Sunnah or lifestyles of the companions of the Prophet.
Hyder Ullal, one of the chief organizers of the event and scholar, said in his valedictory speech,"every organization should be based on the principle of Tawheed (oneness) of Allah, the God, and it must be for the God's pleasure alone. Anything that receives the God's displeasure and discontent is not at all accepte". He also went on to stress, that any innovation and action in the religion that is not authenticated either by the Quraan or Sunnah (tradition of the Prophet) is unforgivable".
The winners and participants in the events were given prizes and lucky winners were also given fabulous prizes.
