Tumakuru, Jul 27: Brother of state deputy chief minister (DCM), Dr G Parameshwar, Sivaprasad (70), who happened to be functioning as the illustrious secretary of Tumakuru-based Sri Siddhartha Education Society, breathed his last on Thursday July 26 night at Sparsh Hospital Bengaluru.

Shivaprasad was instrumental in efficiently running the above society which has a large number of colleges and institutions under it. During his term as the the office bearer of the society, he took prestigious Siddhartha group of educational institutions founded by his father and well-known educationist, H M Gangadharaiah, to dizzy heights. These institutions employ thousands of people.

Shivaprasad became a household name by running Siddhartha Medical College and other educational institutions capably. Because of s stroke suffered by him, he was comatose since the last six months. He was shifted to Sparsh Hospital Bengaluru for providing advanced treatment. But without responding to efforts of the doctors, he breathed his last on Thursday.

Shivaprasad has left behind wife, Jayalakshmamma, and two children. His death has shocked Parameshwar and scores of his relatives and well-wishers. A large number of dignitaries have condoled his demise.
