Bengaluru: Solemn Mt Carmel feast celebrated at Sadbhavana

Bengaluru, Jul 22: Our Lady of Mt Carmel feast was solemnly celebrated on July 22 at Sadbhavana, Carmelite Provincialate, Rajajinagar, Bengaluru.

The solemn celebration began with a procession in honour of Mother Mary. The statue of Mother Mary was brought by the priests from Heralds of Gospel congregation and was taken in procession on the streets of Rajajinagar. This was followed by a holy eucharistic celebration.

Fr Dolphy Paias OFM CAP the provincial of the Capuchin friars was the main celebrant. After the eucharistic celebration, blessed scapulars of Our Lady of Mt Carmel were distributed to the devotees who participated in a large number.



On this auspicious occasion, Carmel Kutam (Carmel family) of Bengaluru hosted a felicitation programme during which they distributed scholarships to eight poor children. A fellowship meal was served to the devotees which was cooked by Carmel Kutam themselves.
