Bengaluru: HC dismisses contempt of court petition filed against Raghaveshwara Swamiji

Bengaluru, Jul 21: The state high court, on Friday July 20, dismissed the contempt of court petition filed against Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji of Ramachandrapur Math, accusing him of illegally constructing a building in Girinagar area here in a space which was earmarked for building a park.

Judges of the high court division bench, Justice Raghavendra S Chauhan, and Justice H T Naarendra Prasad, said that the petitioners had failed four times in filing official objections and therefore, the petition stands automatically quashed.

The civil contempt of court petition had blamed Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike commissioner, Manjunath Prasad, Bengaluru Metro Task Force additional director general of police, Dr Rajeev Sharma and urban development secretary, Mahendra Jain for the said violation.
