Puttur: Man accidentally drowns in pond

Puttur, Jul 8: In a tragic incident which happened at Kudkoly in Nekkilady village near Uppinangady on Saturday July 7, a man drowned in a pond.

The deceased has been identified as Naveen (35), son of the late Kushalappa Gowda. He was an electrician by profession. In a complaint filed in Uppinangady police station, Naveen's wife stated that Naveen who had gone near the pond had accidentally slipped and drowned in the pond that is overflowing.

A case of unnatural death was registered in Uppinangady police station. Investigation has been undertaken.
