KCWA announces upcoming event ‘SPARSH XXV’ set to take place on Jan 31

Kuwait, Jan 14: The Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) has announced its upcoming event ‘SPARSH XXV’, set to take place on January 31 at American International School, Maiden Hawally, Kuwait from 3:30 PM onwards.

KCWA is a leading organization dedicated to promoting cultural and literary events. Through various programs, KCWA strives to create a platform for local talent and provide a voice for regional languages like Konkani and contribute to important social causes.

The event ‘SPARSH XXV’ will feature super hit Konkani comedy play ‘SBG Travels route no 2’ written by the talented Nellu Permannur and directed by the Johnson Dalmeida. This play promises to tickle your funny bone with its hilarious storyline and stellar performances. Music by the amazing Raveen Martis will add to the charm of this unforgettable evening. This cultural extravaganza also includes special performances by local and guest artists, featuring choreographed dances and melodious numbers.

Well-known Konkani writer and popular columnist Fr Prashant Madtha will be gracing the occasion as a chief guest of an event. He has been awarded the prestigious Kannada Rajyotsava Award most recently. Fr Prashant Madtha is a prolific writer with a literary career spanning over 40 years. His articles have been featured in prominent periodicals such as Raknno, Uzwad, Udayavani, Deccan Herald and many other journals.

Fr Prashant Madtha published a dictionary containing 10,000 Konkani idioms through the Institute of Konkani. His contributions to Konkani literature extend beyond creative writing. He has significantly contributed to the growth of Konkani culture and literature through roles as a publisher, editor, researcher and dictionary projects.

Renowned emcee VJ Dixon, a celebrity national and international host, TV anchor and fashion model will be hosting the event.

In addition, this event will also raise awareness and show support to Karunamaya Ashram, a shelter for destitute men in Mangaluru where care for the abandoned, professional medical care, nutritious food to residents and shelter to those in need is provided.
