Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jul 5: BJP member of legislative council, Tejaswini Gowda, raised the issue of increasing Love Jihad cases in Karnataka. She urged the government to act to bring this menace under control.

Tejaswini raised this issue under rule 330. She said that innocent Hindu girls from poor families are particularly becoming victims of this fraud. "There are many cases in which trust of unsuspecting girls is won over, they are raped, and then sold to foreign nationals. There is information that some organizations involved with such heinous activities are getting funds from foreign countries," she said.

Tejaswini urged the state government to consider all Love Jihad cases seriously,  take stern steps against the offenders, and thus ensure that such incidents do not recur.
