Bantwal, Jul 5: T D Nagaraj took charge as the new police circle inspector here on Wednesday July 4. Nagaraj has filled up the vacancy created by the transfer of previous incumbent, Prakash.

Nagaraj had worked for six months as sub-inspector at the rural station here in 2009. He had joined duty as police sub-inspector of town station at Puttur and thereafter worked in Puttur rural, Bantwal rural stations as sub-inspector. He was then promoted as circle inspector and posted to Ullal. Thereafter, he worked in Shivamogga, Kadri traffic, Kadri station, Bajpe and inspector of district crime intelligence bureau in the office of the superintendent of police. He had worked in the coastal security police force at Malpe before being posted as circle inspector here.
